Our Patient Care Technician program at Fortis will train you to acquire skills and demonstrate competence in a variety of Nursing Assisting procedures and laboratory techniques. Students in the patient care technician program will get a solid education in the fundamental of patient care including the Study and Practices of Human Needs and Communications, Infection Control and Safety Measures, Body Mechanics, Vital Signs, Special Care, and Body Systems.
At Fortis, our experienced instructors place an emphasis on the application Physical Care techniques and Psychosocial skills. Students learn in both classroom and clinical settings and will participate in an externship program that will provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a health care setting serving the needs of actual patients.
