The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program provides teachers, training and development professionals, HR staff managers, and others the knowledge and skills to pursue or advance their careers in education, HR, training, curriculum development, instructional technology, or trade and education association management.
The M.Ed. program of study includes courses covering functional areas and critical knowledge in education as well as courses incorporating business skills and information technology tools. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to apply key concepts and techniques to educational problems and issues.
Undergraduate prerequisites may be required for entry into the graduate program; students who have not earned degrees from appropriate fields of study may be required to take additional coursework as a prerequisite for completing the program.
Completion of Strayer University's Master of Education program does not guarantee a student has met the requirements to apply for public school teacher or administrator licensure in any state. Students may concentrate in educational management or educational technology.
