The Associate of Applied Science in Computer Network Administration is a technology-focused program that prepares graduates to begin or advance a career in the Information Technology (IT) field, or as part of a plan to earn certifications.
The program is designed to give students an understanding of installing, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining network operations and security. Along with the concentrated networking courses, students also take a number of courses in humanities, social science, and mathematics to develop marketable skills.
Beckfield College is a Microsoft IT Academy. Students are highly encouraged to earn certifications prior to graduation, including the CompTIA A+ Certification and the MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional). These are important elements for a successful career in networking.
