Addictions Counseling - Certificate
The Beckfield Justice Studies Programs provides skills and opportunities to pursue the various Criminal Justice careers in the marketplace.
The Addictions Counseling programs are designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the field of addictions, or current professionals who come in contact with, or assist, addicted persons and their families:
- College graduates holding Associate degrees in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing or other behavioral sciences, or graduates holding Bachelor's degrees in any field of study
- Corrections Officers
- Social Workers and Guidance Counselors
- Mental Health Professionals
- Nurses and other Medical Staff
- Psychiatrists and Psychologists
- Licensed Professional Counselors
Graduates must pass the appropriate licensure or certification examination in order to hold professional licensure in Ohio or certification in Kentucky.
The Addictions Studies Program is supported by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board and approved by the Kentucky Board of Certification of Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
