Addictions Counseling - Bachelors
A team of academicians, addiction specialists and practitioners in the field developed the Addictions Counseling programs at Beckfield College.
The Addictions Counseling programs at Beckfield College are unique to the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. Very few other colleges and universities in the region offer this specialty certificate.
This integrated course of study is grounded in a variety of professional disciplines, including pharmacology, biochemistry, medicine, psychology, psychiatry and sociology. There is a strong emphasis on the recognition, understanding, diagnosis and treatment of addictive behaviors. Prevention strategies and issues are also addressed.
The Addictions Counseling programs are designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the field of addictions, or current professionals who come in contact with, or assist, addicted persons and their families.
· College graduates holding Associate degrees in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing or other behavioral sciences, or graduates holding Bachelor’s degrees in any field of study

· Nurses and other Medical Staff

· Licensed Professional Counselors
The Addictions Counseling programs are housed within the Criminal Justice Department at Beckfield College.
