Computer Network Administration

If you have an aptitude for computers, imagine having the freedom to design the computer systems for an entire organization. As a graduate of the Computer Network Administration program, you will learn to design, install and support computer systems for corporations, government agencies, healthcare organizations and others entities.

This Associate of Occupational Science degree teaches you to evaluate system and network requirements to meet customer needs, maintain network hardware and software, analyze problems and coordinate network security.

Computer network administrators:

  • Are responsible for local-area networks (LAN), wide-area networks (WAN), intranets and Internet systems
  • Maintain network efficiency and ensure all components of the system work together
  • Troubleshoot problems and make recommendations for future system upgrades
  • Install and repair computer equipment for successful operation
