Medical Assisting (A)
An associate degree in medical assisting from Westwood College prepares you to assist doctors and nurses in a variety of medical facilities.This 17-month program is taught by professionals with related experience and offers students the skills required in this field by providing:
- hands-on instruction in healthcare terminology, minor surgical procedures and front-and back-office functions
- an externship to provide students with hands-on job training
- coursework to help prepare you for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification exam*
