Medical Assisting (D)
A Westwood College medical assisting diploma will give you the skills and training you'll need to support the doctors and nurses of a medical facility and help them provide quality healthcare to their patients. Your courses will be modeled after the workplace, giving you the valuable experience you'll need as you enter this field. The 12-month diploma program, taught by teaching professionals with related experience, offers students:
- an externship opportunity that provides students with hands-on job training
- classes focusing on the front- and back-office functions of the medical field
- coursework in areas like healthcare terminology, specialty procedures and medical insurance
