I have a relative who has taught private music lessons for many years and has some college credits in music. However, he doesn't have a teaching degree. Would he be eligible to take an equivalency test to get college credits based on his years of teaching?

He should be able too. Have him check with the institution that he wants to get his degree from and see what they say. Experience is worth a lot.
