It's really complicated if you study there. You need to takes tests, especially English tests. Most school that accepts foreign students are ESL schools. They'll help you in processsing your visa. You can also work while studying, provided tha the school you've choosen allows it. As what I've known it's easier to get a student than to get a working visa.

I think your best bet is to simply Google "foreign exchange students" and see what pops up.
I heard that the admission of foreign exchange students might have been curtailed after 9/11, but the information might have been just a rumor.
I googled it and the I got a big catch. University of Southern California (USC) accepts hundreds of foreign students. However, they limit employment authorization to students.

My dream is to study in United States. I am just wondering if there are known Universities that accept exchange or foreign students.
you can pursue you dream in studying in US, every year US attract thousands of students from different parts of the world... and for exchange programs you have to check from your own universities...there is a proper channel for this..it is not like you will ask some university that you want to enrol for exchange program and take me. the Colleges and universities in your country might be having some collaboration with US universities for exchange program though that only you can go for exchange program.

Most schools welcome foreign students for diversity reasons - it enhances the ability of everyone to learn. I think that you may find that smaller schools - though more expensive - are a better option in that there are more relationships built; in other words, it's easier to connect with others and to fit in.

I agree. Practically all U.S. colleges and universities accept and welcome foreign students. Research some schools, and contact the ones you are interested in. Chances are they have a department or personnel that were specifically with international students.

I'm sure that most colleges accept foreign exchange students. If you know of any colleges that interest you all you have to do is go to their site and find out about the program. Many colleges welcome students from all over the world.
