Do some of the online universities offer classes in real-time rather than "on demand?" The disadvantage would be less flexibility in your scheduling. However, classes in real-time, maybe even real-time interaction between professor and students, would offer as close to an actual classroom experience as possible.
With today's technology, it's both feasible and affordable. Don't you agree?
I am sure there are some like that out there. I have seen some classes online where you did the work on your own time but once a week there was a lecture you had to sit at the computer to watch. Questions were asked and answered at the end.
