What are the basic steps to take in order to pursue a career in interior design? Is taking a crash course or a special short course in design plus a natural eye for arts and design enough? Or do you have to have a bachelor's degree in interior design under your belt to be able to enter the field?
I think that having a degree would help you a lot, especially with the business end of it. I do think you could take some classes and get started though. I suppose it depends on how much natural talent you have, as with every field.
I think you having a natural flair for decorating and the arts is not enough. You should get a degree for it. You should know also how sound the structure is, whether the wall of post you want to remove is load-bearing and the chemical reactions of each component of your decor with one another.
