The study of the classics introduces students to the Greco-Roman civilizations through different disciplines. What career fields can I get into with this study?

Well, there are the more obvious careers like teacher, professor, or writer. Some who study classics go into archaeology or work in museums. You can be a museum curator or librarian. If you studied Latin and Greek you could always do something with that as well.

There are lots of things you can do with a classical education. You could work in museums, art galleries, libraries, research facilities. It is a great background to have.

You might be able to do something with it in library sciences! But I think the most interesting jobs would be in research facilities, like TeachMe said.

I think working in a museum would be a great thing to do with a degree in Classics. You could also be a historian though. I wonder if you would get many chances to travel?

Thanks everyone! It sounds pretty awesome. Working in a museum is something I had not thought of but sounds really cool and very interesting. Research is something I am most definitely interested in also.

Could this also be a precurser to archaeology? It sounds like a good foundation to have for such a field.
