I am signed up to take a course in Microsoft Word next semester online. What can I expect? I am really familiar with Microsoft Word, I just figured it would be an easy way to get credits that I need to boost my GPA. What kind of assignments would that include?

I think that a lot of the assignments will be to show that you understand how to format using the program. You might be required to learn MLA and APA (if you don't know them already) and how to format them in Word. A lot of it will probably very simple if you are already using it to write papers.

Basically you will be expected to format documents correctly using the different features of Word. I took a class like this and I was bored out of my mind. It is more a class for people who are not at all familiar with it.

That's basically what I am expecting. I am taking 6 classes next semester so hopefully that class will be a well-deserved break for me. I probably won't learn much but you never know, I guess.

Even though I have used Microsoft Word professionally in my work for years there are always new versions coming out with new bells and whistles. Expect to get well versed in all those little things.
