Is it possible to become a nurse if you've majored in some other field? Like, if you majored in music, could you then go on to take nursing school or something? Or do you have to have majored in some medicine-related thing?

I would think you could go back and get any degree you wanted. Maybe you would have already met the basic required courses in English and Math but you would have to start at the beginning in the core area.

I've heard of some nursing programs that will take folks from fields outside of the medical arena, but you would probably be required to show you are skilled in certain classes before you head into the nursing program. For example, a friend of mine who is a biomedical engineer, decided to become a physical therapist, so before she could even apply to the program, she had to pass certain classes related to the field.
