Get professional experience while working with animals in medical settings. Go to college to become registered veterinary technician. One can choose to assist during ultrasound procedures and can get accurate training of using equipments by attending seminars and classes to learn from experienced vets and other technicians. Get a degree in veterinary medicine. Only licensed veterinarians review the results to make an official diagnosis and treatment plan. Those that specialize in radiology technology and are certified by the ACVR have more training and expertise in the field. ACVR veterinarians have completed a radiology residency program and passed an extensive exam.
